Nous sommes heureux de vous annoncer la tenue de la cinquième édition de l'exposition "Synergie entre tradition et modernité - l'artisanat local japonais à la pointe", du mardi 6 février au samedi 17 février 2018, à la Maison de la culture du Japon à Paris(MCJP).
Le Programme JET (Japan Exchange and Teaching Programme) est une action menée par les collectivités locales du Japon en collaboration avec les Ministères japonais des Affaires étrangères, de l'Éducation (MEXT), des Affaires intérieures et des Communications, et le CLAIR (Council of Local Authorities for International Relations).
Il a pour objectif d'inviter des jeunes de pays étrangers au sein des collectivités locales ainsi que dans des établissements scolaires afin de promouvoir la compréhension mutuelle entre le Japon et la France. Chaque participant(e) au programme JET est un(e) employé(e) de son organisme contractant pour une période d’un an, renouvelable jusqu'à un maximum de 5 ans.

In order to realize Asia’s number one global financial city Tokyo, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) is working with the national government, private sector, etc. to revitalize Tokyo’s financial sector.
As a part of this effort, with the cooperation of the Financial Services Agency (FSA), the TMG compiled the English Guidebook titled ‘Guidance to the Asset Management Industry in Japan’.
The guidebook gives easy-to-understand explanations of Japanese financial laws and regulations, how to apply for registration as a financial instruments business operator.
1 Aim of the Guidebook
The TMG compiled the guidebook in order to support the foreign asset managers to successfully enter Japan’s market.
2 Table of Contents
(1) Overview of the Japanese Asset Management Industry
- Explains asset holders in Japan, industry trends, entry strategies, critical success factors in Japan, etc.
(2) Methods of Japan Market Entry, and Business Registration
- Explains the required business registrations in Japan for each business type (Investment Management Business, Type II Financial Instruments Business, Investment Advisory Business, etc.), using the flow chart etc.
(3) Main Requirements, Organized by Business Type
- Explains the requirements (such as legal form, requirement for domestic office, capital requirements, personal requirements, business management structure, etc.) for each business type (Investment Management Business, Type II Financial Instruments Business, Investment Advisory Business, etc.)
- Regarding difficult-to-understand requirements for foreign corporations, such as personal requirements, outsourcing, etc., shows the specific cases for explanation.
(4) Process Up to Commencement of Operations
- Gives detailed explanations about initial consultation, submission of application forms, review, registration, association membership, process up to the commencement of operations, time line and required application form.
- Provides information about ‘ Financial One Stop Support Service ’and other support by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) has been actively working to attract foreign companies to raise international competitiveness and bring about further growth for the city by promoting the creation of a more business-friendly environment for overseas businesses and startups.
Building on its efforts to date, the TMG will hold for the first time, the New Tech Business Camp Tokyo accelerator program for foreign companies that possess advanced technologies related to the Fourth Industrial Revolution, including IoT, big data, and artificial intelligence. By matching up Tokyo’s businesses with foreign software businesses, this program will help Tokyo to achieve its vision of becoming a “safe city,” a “smart city,” and a “diversity (diverse city).”
1 Program features
This program will follow the steps below and focus on initiatives 2 and 3 over a short period of about three months.
① Call for applications from foreign businesses that possess business models or advanced technologies in IoT, big data, artificial intelligence, etc., and selection of program participants
② Provide support for drawing up business plans through efforts including matching up selected foreign and Japanese businesses, IT vendors, etc.
③ Host a business plan presentation geared to Tokyo’s investors, businesses, etc.

Target companies
Foreign companies that possess advanced technologies or business models and have yet to establish a business in Japan. Refer to the program website noted below for application details.
